Ellie Goulding bares her head-lights in sheer white dress

Ellie Goulding wore next to nothing on the red carpet at the Les Misérables premiere in London on Wednesday Dec. 5. It appeared as though Ellie didn’t want A-list stars Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried to get all of the attention!

The “Lights” singer seemed unfazed by the bitter cold weather, however, there was one telling sign (or two) that the air was frigid.

Ellie made sure to show off all angles, exposing her boobs, nipples and underwear.

An all-out Olympic orgy

Sometime I just can't stop beating the proverbial dead horse. This is one of those times.

Sure, the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China ended nearly a week ago but that doesn't mean that we have to stop enjoying the mildly hilarious photos which aren't nearly as dirty, pornographic or sexual in nature as they seem to be. (h/t)

Seriously, though, the folks at College Humor can do better than these rather weak offerings and I'm sure you can too. Right?

If you readers can't do better, I swear to God that I'll come back with some gratuitious Olympic nipple or camel toe photos so fast it'll make your head spin.

Tracy Spiridakos - NBC's Revolution

Tonight marks the debut episode of NBC's high-concept drama Revolution. With a mostly unknown cast, the breakout character is Charlie (played by Canadian actress Tracy Spiridakos pictured below). A precocious and strong-willed young woman who, fifteen years after all forms of power in the world cease to exist, sets out from her home on the east coast of the Republic of Monroe (the former United States) on a quest to find her uncle (who supposedly knows about the mysterious blackout and possibly how to turn the power back on) in a now-decimated and crumbling Chicago only to be met by warlords and unsavory characters along the way on her journey. There is a kidnapping, murder, sword fights, a bow and arrow toting heroine (Charlie) and a multi-layered conspiracy of sorts which should make for a highly watchable series.

While I have only seen the pilot episode of Revolution which airs tonight at 9 PM Central on NBC, I can say that, already, Revolution has pacing issues. Tonight's pilot episode feels like it could have a feature length film instead of a 44 minute television episode. There is a ton of story packed into the first episode which hopefully sets up for equally entertaining and well-told future episodes instead of putting the brakes on the speed of the storytelling in an effort to fill an additional 12 episodes with a watered-down storyline.

Tonight's debut episode of Revolution is a must-see, though, because if the consistency of the storytelling stays at an entertaining level and continues to be fast-paced, you run the risk of trying to play catch-up later in the season. Unfortunately, I feel that Revolution will run through the meat of its story in one season where mysteries will be uncovered but there will be no resolutions. Regardless, it should be an entertaining ride while it lasts.

Tracy Spiridakos, starring as Charlie in NBC's new drama "Revolution" poses here for GQ in a suggesting that her covered but topless body is one of only a handful of reasons to watch the futuristic post-armageddon series.

Candy Corn flavored Oreos - review

Candy Corn Oreos reviewed
The attractive packaging of the Candy Corn Oreo package
lures you in.
In one word, the new Candy Corn flavored Oreos -- billed as a limited edition -- are terrible. Reproducing the sugary concoction known as Candy Corn as a creamy filling is a mistake to say the least. First off, we all know that Oreos are two chocolate-flavored wafers with white cream sandwiched between them. The first mistake is that the Candy Corn flavored Oreos use the relatively new golden wafer which is strangely sweeter than its chocolate counterpart.

I first gave one of these cookies to my wife. After seeing them in my Target back after work today she asked if they were for her. After this initial sampling I can safely say that she can have the rest of the package but given her own opinion of the orange and white creme filled abominations someone else with a less fickle cookie palate will have to eat these tiny travesties.

Candy Corn Oreos reviewed
Once opened, the Candy Corn Oreos
immediately disappoint with sloppy
production and a mere 21 cookies, or as I call it,
three servings.
As my wife slowly chewed her Candy Corn flavored Oreo, she was obviously using each and every last tastebud to better offer up her opinion on the flavor she was experiencing. After fully chewing and swallowing the cookie she described it as "Plasticy with a sort of alcoholic rum taste." She went on to rhetorically ask "What were they thinking?" And also mentioned that the Candy Corn flavored Oreo was "not like Candy Corn at all."

After that verbal beatdown of Nabisco's latest ill-advised creation, I decided it was time to man up and face down this apparent mistake of a cookie.

Upon the first bite of the Candy Corn flavored Oreo I was immediately struck by the fact that it tasted like pure sugar. The closest approximation I can come up with is that it is like drinking pure concentrated Coca-Cola syrup before it gets mixed with the carbonated water except not as syrupy. I then muttered aloud that it was simply "too sweet" which, given my sweet tooth, seems impossible.

After I decided to just finish the rest of what I knew was a misguided purchase I noticed that the taste of the Candy Corn flavored Oreo lingers and no amount of time and water seems to eliminate the taste from my mouth. In the end this single cookie was actually so sweet that it made my stomach hurt.

If you're still brave enough to purchase Candy Corn flavored Oreos, they can be found at Target stores (and likely many more national and regional retailers) for $2.99. The biggest drawback, though, is the fact that the $2.99 price tag nets you a mere 21 cookies. Yep, that's seven tiny cookies for $1.00. For that price it seems like I bought them at Super America instead of Target. But at least the packaging is cool.

Mountain Dew A.M. is truly liquid crack

Mountain Dew A.M. is truly liquid crack

Leave it up to the most disgusting fast food chain, Taco Bell, to serve the equivalent of breakfast time liquid crack -- a disgusting mix of Mountain Dew and orange juice. Hey, at least they're both shades of yellow and orange but shouldn't orange juice in the morning be reserved for mixing with champagne or vodka. And who the hell eats at Taco Bell for breakfast anyway? Unless you are so drunk that you haven't gone to bed yet. Anyhow, Mountain Dew A.M. is served until 11 AM at Taco Bell locations which offer a breakfast menu.

There's also a sloth in this photo

There is a sloth in this photo, not just cleavage

This is one instance of a photo where the rule of thirds fails. In the left third of this photo is a cute sloth clinging to this woman's v-neck t-shirt. However, the top third of the photo is where your focus is immediately drawn to, right? Yes, it's the sloth that makes this photo but it's also the plunging neckline of the woman's shirt that makes it an awesome photo.

The world's angriest toddler

I had no idea that coloring a picture could make someone so angry. At least that what appears to have happened with this rather angry child who is either intensely focused on the artwork at hand or wants to kill whomever is being drawn.

Everyone is #Eastwooding

The trend of the day, following last night's odd speech by Clint Eastwood at the Republican National Convention (RNC) is #Eastwooding. During Clint Eastwood's speech, he compared President Barack Obama to an empty chair (because he's not there) and went as far as to have an empty chair alongside the podium as he spoke -- on television -- where people could actually see this going down. With the internet and Twitter being nothing more than a meme factory, #Eastwooding took off today with thousands of people snapping photos of themselves or others talking to, alongside, pointing at or getting angry with empty chairs. It's a hell of a way to end the week. Let's get #eastwooding and see some of the photos.

Blackhawk helicopters circling Minneapolis

from flickr user MillCityTimes

No, it's not a full-on police state or a military take-over. The Blackhawk helicopters circling parts of downtown Minneapolis are simply taking part in training exercises throughout the week - each night from 7 PM-Midnight. Hey, it's a believable explanation... until the military is trudging down your street and mercilessly beating you until you cough up whatever secrets they can beat out of you. Yep, just routine training.

Minnesota State Fair - Quilt on a Stick

I am at a loss for words. Only at the Minnesota State Fair - home of everything on a stick - would someone in the creative arts area enter a quilt on a stick featuring our very own SPAM.

Minnesota State Fair food - The Walleye Roll

The Walleye Roll, made by Giggles Campfire Grill, is inspired by a lobster roll only with walleye substituted for lobster. The unique twist on Minnesota food s available at the Minnesota State Fair which runs through Labor day.

Jordyn Wieber - facts or photos?

The most famous gymnast to come out of the United States Gymnastics team from the London 2012 Summer Olympics has to be Jordyn Wieber. The 17 year-old Michigan-born gymnast recently celebrated her Olympic gold medal by throwing out the first pitch of a Detroit Tigers game as the glimpse into her Twitter feed and accompanying video below shows.

Will we remember the 5' 2" tall Jordyn Wieber in four years when the summer Olympics take over Rio De Janeiro, Brazil? Will we care about any controversy which surrounded her during the London Olympics? Will anyone remember the facts about Jordyn Wieber (such as her weight - a mere 115 lbs.) or will it be the photos of the petite gymnast that stand the test of time? Will we remember the perky cuteness / hotness of the spunky gymnast from Michigan? Will she still have those crazy rippling abs in ten years?

Garlic Fries are one of thousands of food offerings at the Minnesota State Fair. The food is the biggest draw for many and the sole reason for some to make the annual trek to the Minnesota State Fair. It is also the final nail in the coffin for thousands of diets across Minnesota.
